E-commerce shopping cartSo, you’re ready to sell your products on a virtual high street bustling with over one billion potential customers?  Blue Llama can make it happen.  We use the VirtueMart shopping cart software for basic e-shops and Magento for more complicated, larger scale e-retailers.  If you let us know your requirements then we will determine which platform will suit you best.

The UK saw a 14% increase in eShopping in 2010

BBC News, January 2011

Our shopping cart solutions deal with stock management, tax and delivery calculations, provide a discount coupon mechanism and handle processing for all major payment methods.  We can even manage the supply of digital downloads such as ebooks, music or video files. For extra exposure we will automatically submit your products to Google Shopping.

Magento

What is Magento?
Magento LogoMagento was bought by Ebay in the middle of 2011, this acquisition will further boost the platform's position as the de facto open source e-commerce CMS. Suitable for small businesses but also scalable and flexible enough to allow for rapid business growth, Magento provides all the tools needed for a fast and  attractive frontend website, with the backend tools to support a thriving retail business. One special feature that sets it apart from other solutions is it's ability to manage multiple e-commerce websites (with different domain names, different products and indistinguishable designs) from the same administration interface.  An example of a website Blue Llama has developed in Magento is Sunglasses247.

Virtuemart

What is VirtueMart?
Virtuemart LogVirtuemart is not a separate CMS but an extensive plugin for Joomla.  This provides the user with the power and flexibility of Joomla for the non-shopping elements of their website, with Virtuemart delivering the functionality needed for their online shop.  This shopping platform has all the features you would expect and is relatively simple to setup compared with other shopping cart software.  An example site built on VirtueMart is Thaddeus Jewellers.
